I Have the Best Coworkers!

My friends at work are the coolest!

They painted and filled this adorable bag with all the goodies that David and I will need for our drive down to Florida!

Thanks guys! :)

J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

What an exciting way to spend our second to last night in NYC! Our great friend Katie got us tickets to see the New York Jets play the Miami Dolphins! David and I met my best friend Vicki at Penn Station to head over to the Meadowlands.  After arriving at Metlife Stadium, we met up with Katie to pick up the tickets.  Right after we left her to go to our seats, she texted us to let us know that she had some field passes and wanted to know if we were interested! Um, yes please!

We returned to meet up with Katie and were then able to go down on the field with her! It was so cool to be down there during warmups.  We got to meet Steve Young, who now works on Monday Night Football for ESPN.   We took lots of pictures and then Katie showed us around the behind the scenes and more about what she does.

David and me on the field!

We then went to our seats, which were AMAZING! We had an awesome view:

It also turned out that we were sitting with all the players' families! Plaxico Burres' wife and daughter were 2 rows in front of us.

We were also just a few sections over from Fireman Ed - a staple at Jet's Games.

Luckily, there were 3 empty seats right in front of us, so Rachel and two of her friends were able to come down and join us for the rest of the game. We had such a fun night! Thank you SOOOOOO much Katie!!

A lot can change in one week

One week from today, the hubby and I are going to have many changes to adjust to! The biggest of which, is our move from NYC to Orlando, FL - hence the name for my blog - From Apples 2 Oranges!

Today marks the end of our last weekend in NYC before we pack up the moving truck and make the drive south.

As you can see, we're pretty much ready to go!

Some of the changes you can look forward to hearing about here are:
  • Adjusting to living in a smaller city compared to NYC, including ways to indulge our foodie lifestyle without the quality and variety that NYC has to offer
  • Our growing family - we welcome Bojangles (our new bulldog puppy) to the family next Saturday!
  • A new job for the hubby
  • Working from home and commuting to NJ twice a month for me
  • A new apartment and beginning house hunting!
  • Moving away from many of our very best friends
  • Moving closer to family and many others of our very best friends
I'm sure there is so much more for us to look forward to but those are the big changes on my radar right now. :)

We're sure going to miss this view!
